Trey Frazier is a 2008 LHP/1B with a 6'5'', 210 lb. frame from Plano, TX who attends Prestonwood Christian Academy. He has an excellent pitcher's build, with long arms and some present strength. Frazier has a long, extended arm action in back and his arm works pretty easily. He gets very little lower half or core action in his delivery, though, and his arm tends to drag through to release as he drifts forward. Frazier threw 78-80 mph with his fastball and it was pretty straight. His 66 mph curveball had a big, rolling break to it and was a very effective off speed pitch and difficult to make solid contact with. Frazier also showed good feel for a straight change up and mixed his pitches up well. He's a finesse pitcher in a power pitcher's body right now, but he could potentially gain some significant velocity with some more power from his trunk and lower half. Frazier is an excellent student.
