Stephen (Drew) Rocha is a 2027 OF/RHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Dickinson, TX who attends Lutheran South Academy. Features an athletic build with some good size and length to the lower half. Ran a 7.65 60-yd dash. In the OF, showed solid actions. Good job getting around it allowing him to work through it with on-line direction. Choppier footwork into reception but didn't slow down momentum too much. Turned over glove a tad late times with reception slightly off to the side but fielded each GB clean. Decent quickness to release where he used a shorter arm action that got off throws from an over the top slot. Above avg. arm strength for his level where throws were made downhill and mostly accurate. At the plate, sits relaxed in a wider base. Uses a simple lower-half trigger where there's some rhythm to the hands. Quality bat/hand speed where the barrel works on a slightly uphill path. Inconsistent timing during his round showing trouble at deeper/late contact points. Good use of lower half. Best results were a couple of hard LD shots back through the middle of the field showing off the power/impact. On the mound, uses an uptempo delivery. Uses a hip high knee lift that works straight up/down for a more tall fall type operation. Kept a shorter arm action that got up to release to a higher 3/4 slot. Lands on-line with a shorter stride. Ran the FB up to 80, flashing a bit of running action. Mixed in some breakers in the low 70s that varied in shape, some looking more standard SL and others more slurvy CB with quality depth.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
