Dylan Mercado is a 2029 3B/RHP with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Cypress Woods. Square shouldered athletic build with some present strength and big physical projection remaining. Right handed hitter, sets up in a balanced stance, gets into his lower half well, big present bat speed with plus extension through contact, aggressive swing but stays timed up on on the barrel, very good swing plane and lift, elite level game performer. 6.99 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, stays low and works through the ball, clean back hand actions, plenty of arm strength across, no reason athletically that he couldn't be playing mid-field right now. Also pitched, fastball topped out at 90 mph and was mostly straight. Slider was his get ahead early pitch with feel for the zone. Change up was a solid pitch with arm speed and good fade and tumble. Excellent student.
