Miles McCarthy is a 2025 OF/RHP with a 5-8 120 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Brophy College Preparatory. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean build and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran an 8.39 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball closer to body, can implement additional footwork through the ball, longer arm action through the back and shows accuracy on throws, projects with added physical strength. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, gets closed with quick trigger moving into contact. Contact oriented approach, works with a linear path through the zone and employs a middle to pull side approach in the box. Upper body dominant swing and loads hands back at start, direct to the ball with hands, occasionally gets to front side early. Very good student.
