Chandler Jones is a 2022 C/RHP with a 6-2 172 lb. frame from Smiths Station, AL who attends Glenwood School. Medium frame with broad shoulders and room to fill throughout. Ran an 8.01 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, worked out behind the dish with a square setup, compact arm action into his throw downs with an upright release, good carry and accuracy to throws, sound catch and throw skills that will get long with transfer at times, 2.12 second best pop time in drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher, full arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot release, fastball topped out at 75 mph with occasional cutting action to the pitch, mixes in a curveball with developing spin and 12-6 shape, tunnels the pitch well commands both pitches especially to the glove side of the plate. Right-handed hitter, spread out stance in the box, hands get deep with load, feel for the barrel and loud when squared, long finish and a smooth plane, will get downhill at times. Good student.
