Damian Garcia is a 2029 OF/LHP with a 5-7 138 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends Cohea. Medium current frame with lean muscularity and all sorts of time to add more physicality. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.24 seconds. Primary position OF, showing good athleticism, getting to the ball with good angle and then accelerates after fielding. Gets to the transfer in a good place and uses small crow hop to assist medium depth arm path to release. Aggressive on throws, creating accurate one-hop throws back to the infield up to 87 mph. Arm is a real tool and can refine foot work getting to the ball to get to the next level. Secondary LHP, working exclusively from the stretch and using an abbreviated leg lift before working down the mound. Accelerates through high 3/4 arm angle, displaying solid arm strength here as well but needs to hone in the command a bit. FB up to 81 mph with some ride through the zone. Plenty of room to refine on the bump. LHH working from a spread and slightly open stance and using big stride to get the process started. Really explosive turns in the core to generate bat speed and generates a ton of leverage for his size. Gets on plane and lets his hands deliver the bat head with violence. Interesting overall skillset with more to come.
