Caiden Johnson is a 2021 LHP/OF with a 6-2 184 lb. frame from Huntsville, AL who attends Sparkman. Recorded a 7.91 second 60 yard dash time. Large physical frame with some present strength and room to fill. Left-handed pitcher with a high leg lift and good tempo to the delivery. Fastball was up to 81 mph and gets natural arm side run from his high three-quarters slot. Uses a short, tight arm action and the ball jumps out of the hand with little effort. Showed a curveball at 72 mph with late bite and 1-7 shape. Was able to land all three pitches for a strike and generated a lot of swings and misses when he threw his fastball on the outer half to right-handed hitters. Shows good promise as a pitcher. Secondary outfielder who attacks the ball and fields in on the side of his body. Arm is long and loose and showed good accuracy on his throws at 78 mph. Left-handed hitter with a high back elbow set that causes some deceleration in the barrel. Flashed power to the pull side when on time. Good student.
