Joshua Painter is a 2024 RHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Oakley, CA who attends Antioch. Medium frame with a lean build and good time to fill out. Ran an 8.46 second 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, works with good tempo and gets into his back side well to engage the lower half. Gets good extension to the plate on the fastball as it plays true to velocity while showing feel for a changeup with some fade down and a curveball with short break in the zone. Also worked out in the infield, works around the ball well with good momentum through his actions and good glove work to receive. Right-handed hitter, sets up wide and works longer through the zone with an ability to get the barrel out and drive the ball on a line to the pull side; shows some strength and occasional lift at impact when he is able to square the ball out front. Great student.
