Campbell Carpenter is a 2027 C/OF with a 5-11 196 lb. frame from College Grove, TN who attends Summit HS. Campbell is an obviously talented, up-and-coming player who has the physicality and build to improve his already sound fundamentally based game. As good as his game is on the field, he is also an accomplished student in the classroom. He ran an 8.26 60-yard dash. A primary catcher, Campbell presents a low profile at the ready and receives the ball consistently well, showing easy movement and softer hands. He gains ground well and has a quick trigger. His 68-mph throws are firm, and his 2.25 pop time is commendable for his age group. Campbell also took a turn in the outfield. He is measured and sure with his approach showing consistent timing to field. His glove plays and transitions well. His 70-mph throws are firm and hold their plane. At the plate, Campbell's physicality truly shows. There is obvious strength in and with his swing operation. He is quick to contact with a flatter plane that show's a slugger's lift at contact. He gets his barrel to and through contact with force. Nice round! Campbell shows a lot of upside promise. His game is sound now and shows an ability that is certain to improve with continued work in the weight room to help with quickness and strength. Campbell has a promising future and with added playing experience and attention to detail, he has a plus future in the game.
