Jade Gutierrez is a 2023 RHP/MIF with a 5-11 142 lb. frame from Carmel, NY who attends Carmel. Recorded a 7.42 second sixty-yard dash. Long, lean projectable build with plenty of room for physical maturity. Primary right-handed pitcher with long limbs and a projectable frame. Simple operation that starts with a rocker step to balance, incorporates drop and drive lower half mechanics, short compact arm action and some extension out in front. Ability to command both sides of the plate and tunnel two pitches well from the same three-quarters slot. Topped out at 76 mph and mixed in slow, looping curveball for strikes with 11-to-5 shape. Velocity should continue to rise with added strength for this young prospect. Secondary infielder with a developing defensive skill set. Utilizes long limbs to get into proper fielding position, hops into extended release with some present arm strength. Right-handed hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow and narrow closed stance. Utilizes a small leg lift trigger, downhill swing plane and long levers to produce hardest contact to pull side. Should continue to improve skill set with added strength and mechanical refinement.Good Student.
