Juan Sablan is a 2022 RHP/3B, OF with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Tucson, AZ who attends Sabino. Long and slender build with plenty of room to fill out as he continues to develop. Primary pitcher, has a long arm action from a three-quarters slot. Hunches over his front side slightly, smooth motion down the hill. Fastball up to 71 mph, fills up the zone with the heater. Throws a two-seam fastball with intent, sits around 69 mph. Good developing running actions on the pitch. Mixes in a 64 mph slider with good depth to the plate. Learning how to find the zone consistently once he loses it. From the outfield, is meticulous with his reads off the bat and fields out in front. Simple mechanics. Throws stay on line to all bags. At the plate, uses an open and upright stance with a higher handset. Longer overall stroke through the zone. At his best when working through the middle of the field.
