Kaena Kiakona is a 2022 LHP/ with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Kailua, HI who attends Kamehameha Schools Kapalama Ca. Primary left-handed pitcher starts from the third base side of the rubber moving with a full wind up and a short side step into an above the belt curling leg lift as he short straws to play using good lateral movement and direction. His fastball has good arm side run with fading action as he has good command of the zone moving the fastball on all four quadrants topping 82 mph. Kiakona mixes in and has a good feel for the off-speed pitches with a change-up that shows good arm speed and late fading action alongside a change of pace breaking ball that has good depth out of the same arm slot.
