CJ Clayton is a 2025 C/RHP/1B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Hummelstown, PA who attends Hershey. Extra big and strong build for his age. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow stance with a big leg lift load to start his swing, leg raise can impact his timing consistency, gets shifted into contact, has strength in his swing and can impact the ball to the gaps when he's timed up, chance to develop some real power with adjustments. Primary catcher on defense, long arm action on his throws, developing lower half agility and quickness, also plays first base. Took a turn on the mound, drop and drive mechanics to the plate with a similar long and loose arm action, gets good extension down the mound. Did a good job throwing strikes with a fastball that topped out at 72 mph, tends to slow his arm and aim his secondary pitches. Very good student.
