Joshua Bishop is a 2024 2B/1B, IF with a 5-7 166 lb. frame from St Michael, MN who attends St. Michael-Albertville. Young, square shouldered frame, some present strength to frame and will continue to grow moving forward. Ran an 8.90 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman, takes short steps moving towards the ball, fields out front with bend at waist, long arm action through the back, upright release and can continue to incorporate additional footwork into actions and release, arm strength will keep improving. Righthanded hitter, begins with a closed and narrow stance and a medium hand set and lower back elbow at the plate. Utilizes a leg lift trigger at start of swing, keeps weight on backside and can continue incorporate additional weight shift. Long swing path through the zone, aggressive early in the count, occasionally gets uphill with path, comfort turning on the ball at point of contact. Very good student.
