Maximo Martinez is a 2024 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Hawthorne, CA who attends Mira Costa HS. Recorded a 6.81 second 60-yard dash time. Medium, athletic frame with good fluidity and twitch present. Primary shortstop with a very quick transfer and fast hands. Natural movements to the backhand with good first step quickness. Accurate from multiple slots and has the 95 mph throws in his back pocket if he needs it. Very advanced defender at shortstop. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a quick arm and a compact arm action. Fastballs have good vertical carry with feel for a short, biting slider. Lands both and has upside on the mound. Right-handed hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and finishes high through contact. Has carry to the pull side and can show the power. Flatter bat path with some impact. Great student. Verbal commitment to Southern California.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
