2021 Sunshine Rocky Mountain Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Finn O'Connor is a 2022 SS/C, 2B, 3B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Denver, CO who attends Regis Jesuit. Medium, average build. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.31 seconds. Primary SS whose throws across the diamond peaked out at 89 mph. Worked around balls on his approach smoothly and showed a quick transfer and release. At the plate he hits out of a slightly open stance. Utilizes his lower half well throughout his swing and it helps him generate leverage. Solid intents in his swings as well. On the mound he works out of the stretch and throws from a overhand slot. FB sat at 82-86 mph and had solid ride to it. Advanced command to the arm side. Showed a 12/6 CB that had plenty of bite to it and he was able to consistently land it in the zone for a strike. Good student.
