2026 PG Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Reid Patton is a 2027 SS/RHP/3B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Winter Garden, FL who attends Horizon. Medium athletic build with the beginnings of some present strength. 6.71 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, hunched over for the backhand, showed some actions laterally, mid 80's arm strength showed nicely and was accurate across the diamond, good intent. Right-handed pitcher, loose arm from a three-quarters angle, works quick and off the third base side of the rubber, small instep to a leg lift right around the belt line, good lines down the slope, can spin the baseball with 10-4 shape to the slider and for strikes, spins a vertical curveball in the mid 60's, compact arm action and hides it through the back, can sequence and change eye levels with ease, late horizontal to the slider, competed in zone and threw lots of strikes. Switch hitter. Right-handed, wider base, high hands, busy hand load with light barrel wrap, toe tap trigger, average bat speed, can get off the backside better, some barrel feel. Left-handed, wide base, open feet, mirrored sets, hands work better from the right, more connection and lift. Picked up a couple of barrels in the box on the weekend as well. Good student. Named to the PG Preseason High School Showcase Top Prospect List.
