2022 WWBA Workout Showcase (June 23)
Sam Corso is a 2025 SS/RHP, 2B, OF with a 5-4 125 lb. frame from Decatur, GA who attends Decatur. Small, slender frame with some quick twitch athleticism and plenty of room to physically mature. Recorded a 7.23 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary infielder with a fundamentally sound defensive skill set and plenty of upside as he continues to add strength. Fields cleanly out in-front with sound glove work, incorporates a shuffle into a longer arm action and recorded developing arm strength up to 77 mph across the diamond. Secondary outfielder with anticipatory actions into and throughout the fielding process. Fields off to the side with two hands mostly, gathers cleanly and carries some momentum into release. Stays behind the baseball well and showed off an accurate throwing arm with some projectable arm strength up to 77 mph. Left-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, slightly open stance with an exaggerated high hand set, high back elbow and small leg lift trigger. Middle-of-the field approach with elongated swing path and developing bat-to-ball skills. Rotational swing mechanics with deep hand load into slot and tries to lift the baseball. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Solid overall skill set with tons of physical projection remaining. Good Student.
