Anthony Smith is a 2025 OF/RHP/1B with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Harrisburg, NC who attends Hickory Ridge. Long and lean, classic pitcher's type body with lively athletic actions overall. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.43 seconds. Primary position OF, with some hop in his step and showing first step quickness. Works the glove off to the side and squares up nicely to transfer in the midline. Short arm path, getting hand up and loaded quickly, cracking off throws up to 84 mph. Secondary RHP, showing a loose, free flowing delivery and refreshingly unrefined. Very natural delivery with explosiveness in the core. FB up to 84 mph with higher spin traits, running the ball through hitters with regularity. CB projects well as a power pitch longterm in the upper-60s and advanced spin up to 2,350+ rpms. High 3/4 arm angle, creating excellent leverage. RHH working from a wide start and high initial handset. No stride and very quiet mechanic overall. Arms dominate the swing and the power is ahead of him yet. When he stays in the middle of the field he showed his best ball flight. Intriguing two-way prospect that is really coming on quickly on the bump. Outstanding student as well.
