Nick Miller is a 2024 1B/RHP, OF with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Roy, WA who attends Bethel. He ran a 8.24 second sixty. A primary first baseman with a long lean build. At first he showed young actions on the approach to the ball with firm hands out front receiving the ball. In the outfield he showed some bounce to his step working to the ball and fielding it out front and transferring into a crow hop with a long full arm action through the back showing developing arm strength on the throws. On the mound he starts with a big side step into a quick leg raise as the arm works compact through the back out of the glove up to a higher arm slot with he ability to get the shoulders going down the hill as he comes to the plate. The fastball sat 70-72 mph with flashes of arm side run in the zone. He also mixed in a changeup in the mid 60's with late diving action that has a chance to play well off of the fastball. Right-handed hitter, starts with a low hand set and wider base using a small leg lift stride to trigger the swing, the hands work direct to the ball impacting the inside part and using the opposite field at his best with developing power. Very good student.
