Sam Schwamb is a 2025 C/1B with a 6-1 193 lb. frame from Fort Mill, SC who attends Catawba Ridge. Really physical, well built frame with advanced overall physicality and raw strength. Classic build for a catcher and showing nice mobility. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.23 seconds. Advanced overall skillset behind the dish. Quick feet gaining ground on feeds to second. Clean midline transfer, loads the arm well and showed throws up to an impressive 83 mph and pop-time best 1.90 seconds on the bag. Good motor behind the plate, understands how to work the leather too. RHH working from an even start, well balanced and classic handset at the shoulders. Gives nothing away and showed the ability to stay on time. Small leg lift and transfers power from strong base effectively. Dense strength at impact, working the middle of the field and has present power with more to come. Legit offensive catcher skills and projects well in all aspects of the game with great makeup. Very good student as well.
