Braden Smith is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Pleasant Hill, MO who attends Pleasant Hill. Medium athletic build. Primary right handed pitcher, works from the stretch with a medium leg raise delivery, compact over the top arm circle, upper body driven delivery and can get into his lower half more. Mid-70's fastball topped out at 77 mph, mostly straight. Tends to slow his arm on his curveball, flashes deeper 11/5 depth when he lets it go. Also threw an occasional change up. Left handed hitter, hits from an upright square stance with a short stride into contact, mid field to pull side approach, fires his hips well to drive his swing, showed some hitting tools to continue to develop. 7.67 runner in the sixty, also plays the outfield when not on the mound. Good student.
