Trenton Burkhalter is a 2021 C/RHP, IF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Stacy, MN who attends Forest Lake. Primary catcher with an athletic frame that has present strength in the lower half. Has soft hands to receive with a high set-up and athletic footwork through the fielding process. Replaces the feet well, gaining minimal ground to second base with a quick arm stroke to throw. Has present arm strength, making throws to second base at 75 miles per hour and recording a 1.96-second pop time. Right-handed hitter with a slightly open, balanced stance. Glides to contact with some present bat speed, showcasing good contact and jump off the barrel when on time. Has a quiet approach in game action, flashing some pull-side power as well. Secondary right-handed pitcher that starts from the windup with a small side step into a belt high leg lift, staying slightly flexed at gather with drop and drive actions down the mound. Has a long take back, showcasing developing arm speed from an over the top slot. Fastball stays fairly straight, locating well to both sides of the plate at 77-80 miles per hour. Shows some feel to spin a tight curveball with sharp depth at 70 miles per hour.
