2025 PG Fall Academic Showcase
Matthew Plank is a 2026 RHP/1B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Cropwell, AL who attends Ignite Christian Academy. Medium build with some present strength. Works from a standard side step delivery with a belt high leg raise, short arm takeaway to a high 3/4's arm slot, easy low effort mechanics. Fastball topped out at 81 mph with good carry at the top of the zone, also threw a curveball with good depth and 11/5 shape and a rare change up. 8.03 runner in the sixty who worked out as a secondary first baseman. Right handed hitter, has a big leg raise to start his swing and a high hand/barrel wrap load, can be late to launch at times, flashed some power and impact when the barrel got out front, mostly opposite field contact. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
