Austin May is a 2022 C/RHP, IF, OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Gray, GA who attends Jones County. Medium to large physical build with present strength, posted a 7.18 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary catcher, conventional crouch with soft hands behind the plate. Understands his footwork and gains ground on his throws down to second base. Posted a 2.21 second pop time. On the mound, has a shorter arm action from an over the top slot. Repeatable mechanics with good direction down the hill. Not afraid to locate in with his 77 mph fastball. Mixes in a 65 mph 11-to-5 shaped curveball with good depth. At the plate, uses an upright stance with a deep hand load. Allows the ball to get deep into the hitting zone. Works to stay inside the baseball. Middle to opposite field approach.
