Tyler Johnson is a 2021 RHP/ with a 6-5 205 lb. frame from Barrington, IL who attends Lake Zurich. Tall and lean frame with long limbs and a ton of room to fill out. Ran a 7.53 in the sixty yard dash. A primary pitcher, worked exclusively out of the stretch. Shorter leg lift and on line landing, full arm action on the back and releases from a 3/4 slot. Good arm speed for his length. The fastball has some arm side run and he controls the zone with it well. 11/5 shape on the breaking ball and landed it some to the glove side. Poised on the mound and attacked hitters. More velocity to come as the body fills out. A right-handed hitter, uses a balanced start and leg lift trigger. Loads deep and works down with his path trying to back spin line drives to the middle of the field. Very good student.
