Clayton Eskra is a 2023 C/RHP, 3B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Overland Park, KS who attends Blue Valley Southwest. Medium build with plenty of room to fill out as he continues to develop. Primary catcher, sets up in a higher crouch and shows some quickness out of it. Looks to transfer the ball as quickly as possible, meticulous with his arm action. Still developing feel for his glove work behind the dish. Posted a 2.25 second pop time in the catching workout. In the infield, fields out in front well and looks to stay in front of the baseball. Over the top arm action across the diamond, stays on top of the baseball. Arm strength across the diamond will continue to develop nicely alongside his build. At the plate, uses an upright and even stance with a simple stride trigger. Still understanding his rhythm and timing with the pitcher. Uphill plane through the zone, hands work direct to the baseball. Middle of the field approach.
