Ken Kamiyana is a 2020 1B/ with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Koga, FO who is an international free agent. Physical medium frame with present strength. Primary first baseman, attacks the ball nicely and makes good first step reads off the bat. Consistently aggressive to the ball with solid glove work coming off the bag. Athletic actions with a smooth quick transfer. Accurate throws round the diamond whether spinning or turning inside. Displays quick and crisp footwork that consistently puts him into good spots to make plays. At the plate, high hands work down through the zone in an overall free and easy looking stroke. Not much linear weight shift in the box, keeps things quiet and simple. Hands are quick through the zone and have the ability to get the barrel to pitches on the inner half. Creates some whip through the zone with a slight hand coil as well. Consistent line drive hitter with a middle of the field approach.
