Cole Leonhart is a 2022 MIF/OF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Strafford, MO who attends Springfield Catholic. Slender young build with the beginnings of some compact strength. Left handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a high back elbow load, elbow set up will tie up his swing at times, rotational upper body swing, swung the bat much better in games than in BP, was well timed up and made solid line drive contact to all fields, handled the barrel well and was comfortable against left handed breaking balls. 8.10 runner, second base actions and tools, has sound fundamental footwork at second base, fields the ball out front and has a quick transfer on his throws. Young player with an idea how to play who should keep improving as he gets stronger.
