Cj Weik is a 2022 SS/RHP, 3B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Wauconda, IL who attends Mundelein. Medium frame with a slender build and room to fill. Ran a 7.47 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary shortstop. Fields with a deeper funnel in. Clean hands into transitions with a very compact release. Stays accurate to the bag topping out at 75 MPH. Righthanded hitter with a narrow stance. Utilizes a short leg lift trigger for timing. Short linear shifts into contact into a line drive plane with quick hands. Middle of the field to pull side approach. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a simple side step delivery into a leg lift to the belt. Lands in line down the mound with a short stride out. Longer arm action in the back and into a high three-quarter arm slot. Creates some downhill life on the fastball at 75 MPH. Straight changeup through the zone with some feel for landing the pitch at the corners. Very good student as well.
