Austin Jones is a 2026 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Saint Louis, MO who attends Lindbergh Senior. Works from a medium frame with physical strength present and projection remaining. Primary first baseman, stays fairly light on the feet and gets the glove down on-time. Funnels the baseball smoothly, making quick turns and delivering accurate throws. Releases the ball from a lower arm slot. Recorded arm strength up to 83 mph across the diamond. Secondary left-handed pitcher, utilizes a hybrid set-up and side steps into a coiled, just above belt-high leg lift. Works into a shorter arm path and high three-quarters release. Moves quickly down the slope. Fastball topped out at 81 mph. Has the ability to land the 12-6 curveball down in the zone for strikes. Projects for more velocity as he continues to physically mature. Left-handed hitter, starts in a narrow, open stance with a high back elbow. Utilizes an inward toe-tap trigger for timing prior to working into a longer uphill bat path. Can create leverage out in-front and loud impact to the pull-side. Has intriguing strength in the hands. Recorded an exit velocity of 80 mph. Ran a 7.93 sixty-yard dash. Good student. Named to the 2024 National Indoor (Saturday-Wentzville) Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
