George Sorondo is a 2022 SS/ with a 5-9 190 lb. frame from Clovis, CA who attends Clovis East. Large physical build. Primary infielder, breaks it down well and fields out in front. Stays in front of the ball well and his build suggests that his arm strength with improve as he progresses. At the plate, uses a slightly crouched and conventional looking stance with a high leg kick trigger. Hands work to stay inside the baseball and there's more power left to be unlocked in the lower half of his swing. Hands work direct to the baseball as he generates some linear weight shift to contact. Line drive barrel plane through the zone. Good student in the classroom as well.
