Cooper Johnson is a 2023 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-2 188 lb. frame from Southgate, MI who attends Allen Park. Large frame with a wiry, lean build proving to be athletic. High-waisted with room to fill showing as projectable. Ran a 8.10 second sixty yard dash. Primary Right-Handed Pitcher, starting with a small side step and lift to a belt high leg kick. Lands direct to the plate while online. Delivers from a high three-quarter slot as he gets extended over the front side. Fastball was up to 81 MPH with cut to it as he commanded it well. Depthy curveball with 11-to-5 movements that got swings and misses when he kept it down. Secondary Infielder, showing range as he moved athletically side to side. Clean glove as he gathers the baseball out front and then works into throws. Flips throws across the diamond with accuracy. Right-Handed Hitter, starting from an upright stance with hands close to body. Hands get deep during shorter stride. Throwing hands at the baseball as he drove it on a line. Middle of the field approach. Outstanding Student.
