Cal Gebhart is a 2020 2B/SS with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Ankeny, IA who attends Saydel. Long, athletic build with room to fill out. Ran a 7.59 second sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary infielder. Displayed athletic actions working to and through the baseball with clean glove actions as well. Flashed good range working to both sides of the infield. Displayed clean transfers into throws with good arm strength and accurate carry to first base topping out at 79 mph. Right handed hitter. Employs a wide, even stance with a leg lift trigger. Flashed a downhill barrel plane to and through the baseball getting extended out front well. Displayed a middle to pull side approach looking to drive line drives and ground balls. Flashed present barrel speed and barrel control creating consistently driven contact to the middle and pull fields throughout the weekend. Great student.
