Ariel Castro Jr is a 2024 SS/2B, OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Kissimmee, FL who attends Reborn Christian Academy. Works from a sturdy frame with both athleticism and strength present. Primary shortstop, displayed clean footwork as he worked through the baseball, good lateral range, clean funnel, tons of hand speed and arm strength, releases from an over-the-top slot, recorded arm strength up to 89 mph across the diamond. Switch-hitter, from the right-side, starts in a wider base with high and tight hands, no stride, tons of strength in the hands and at impact, big-time power from gap to gap, hit three home runs during his BP round; from the left-side, starts in a wider open base, flatter hands, no stride, a little more lift with a similar power tool, recorded an exit velocity of 91 mph. Ran a 7.07 sixty-yard dash. Good student. Named to the Sunshine New York Top Prospect List.
