Jalen Thompson is a 2021 OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Orange, TX who attends West Orange-Stark. Primary outfielder with an athletic frame that moves well at the position. Takes big strides in what is an otherwise slow and controlled approach to the ball. Has a longer take back that has some stiffness at times, and has developing arm strength with some carry to bases at 78 miles per hour. Has some present accuracy to throws. At the plate, has a high back elbow with a big leg lift trigger. Swings with intent to drive the baseball, and has some raw bat speed that plays well. Foot gets down late at times, and has a majority pull side approach. Good student.
