James Raycraft is a 2020 2B/UT with a 5-6 144 lb. frame from Riverton, IL who attends IMG Academy. Athletic build with present strength. Ran a 7.71 second sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary infielder. Flashed athletic actions working to and through the baseball to go along with good range while working to both sides of the infield as well. Displayed clean glove actions with quick transfers into throws with developing arm strength and accurate carry to first base topping out at 71 mph to first base. Switch hitter. From the right side employs a slightly open stance with a short leg lift trigger for timing. Showed a compact swing with a line drive plane looking to drive line drives to the middle and pull fields. Displayed good barrel control creating consistently driven line drives to the middle and pull fields. From the left side employs an even narrow stance with a small leg lift trigger. Flashed a all fields approach with a high contact approach looking to put the ball in play. Showed good barrel control and some bat speed creating driven line drives when on time and squared.
