Elijah Thompson is a 2022 MIF/ with a 5-8 127 lb. frame from Oxford, MS who attends Lafayette. Compact build with room to fill out. Ran a 7.87 second sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary infielder. Displayed the ability to work around the baseball well while working through towards first base with athletic actions. Showed low out front funnels with good range moving to both sides of the infield. Flashed good arm strength with the ability to make accurate throws from multiple arm angles topping out at 75 MPH across the infield. Right handed hitter. Employs an even stance with a quick heel lift stride. Showed a line drive barrel plane through the zone with some fluidity creating good bat speed. Displayed the ability to work consistently driven line drives to all fields with good barrel control and strength at contact point. Projects to add more power with added strength and maturity. Great student.
