Herman Luna is a 2021 RHP/MIF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Corcoran, CA who attends Corcoran. Medium slender build with length and room to fill out as he develops. Primary pitcher, has a longer arm action from a three-quarters arm slot. Strides long down the hill with good direction to the plate. 77-82 mph fastball flashes some strong natural arm side run at times. Likes to work the right side of the plate while mixing in a good 10-to-4 shaped slider with present side to side actions. In the infield, moves well into the hole as well as up the middle. Glove fields out in front and he shows good softness to his hands. At the plate, uses an upright and narrow stance with a simple mid leg kick trigger. Slightly hunches over the plate as he loads, hands start pre-loaded and launch quickly through the zone. Flat barrel plane with a middle of the field approach. Good student in the classroom as well.
