Alex Bello is a 2029 RHP/3B with a 5-11 163 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Orange Virtual School. Medium, square shouldered frame with present strength already proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.40 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, works exclusively out of the stretch, smooth and easy operation with nice rhythm and tempo throughout. Plenty of present arm speed, already up to 87 mph and maintained velocity well, showed late running life to it. Tight slider up to 79 mph to miss bats with; killed the spin on changeup effectively with maintained arm speed up to 76 mph, tumble through the zone. Actions in the dirt profile at third base, extra step moving into release, nice carry on throws across and works through the baseball well, arm plays, shows accuracy on to first base. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance with tight hands and a high back elbow. Utilizes a hanging trigger for timing, stays compact to the ball with compact hands and a full path through the zone, shows rhythm to swing coming out of coil and connected for best contact to the middle of the field. Named to the 2024 13u Select Festival.
