Daegan Covington is a 2020 RHP/OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Taylor, AR who attends Taylor. Medium build with plenty of physical projection remaining. High 3/4's arm slot with a short arm circle in back, has good balance and direction to his delivery and repeats his mechanics well. Mid-80's fastball, has feel for moving his fastball around, can both cut it and sink it with two-seam life, has feel for the strike zone and can pitch to contact off his fastball with comfort. Has the same type of command and feel for a solid slider. 7.16 runner, big crow hop throwing in the outfield will get him off balance/direction, has the arm strength to improve with adjustments. Right handed hitter, busy load and shift into contact with a high leg raise start, aggressive hitter, flashes some bat speed and gap to gap power. Very good student.
