Nicholas Rivera is a 2021 OF/RHP, MIF with a 5-10 167 lb. frame from Boston, MA who attends Lincoln-Sudbury Reg. Medium frame with solid, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.31 seconds. Hits from open-based stance, closes off in stride, hits off of backside, leg lift trigger, length to stroke on linear path, showed whole-field approach with some contact skills. Worked out in the outfield, deliberate pace to actions, stays balanced coming in on the ball, works out front with hands, compact arm stroke, clocked up to 76 mph on throws. Also pitched, higher slot coming through release, fastball worked 63-68 mph with some cutting life, worked in curveball with gradual depth, did a fair job throwing strikes. Good student.
