Daniel Prieto is a 2025 RHP/ with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Christopher Columbus. A medium frame with length in the lower half. Ran an 8.29 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher who worked out of the stretch, throwing from an over-the-top slot. Worked into a leg lift up above the belt. He threw strikes and was able to induce weak contact. His fastball worked for strikes to both sides of the plate while being in the low-70s. He also showed a breaking ball with an 11-5 shape to it. He landed it for strikes and was able to get the job done. Fielded his position well and covered first with athletic actions coming off the mound. Punched out 3 hitters over 3 innings while allowing just 1 hit. A right-handed hitter with the hands set high and a high back elbow. He showed a quick inward toe-tap into the swing. Was short to the ball and rotated through the swing. Also worked out in the outfield. Fields the ball off to the side of his body and the throws were lower to third. Worked with shorter strides to get to the ball, moving deliberately. Excellent student.
