Bryant James is a 2026 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Annandale, VA who attends Bishop O'Connell. Medium athletic build with some present strength and lots of physical projection remaining. Outstanding runner, 6.26 in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has smooth hands and quick feet to the ball, lots of arm strength, can get sped up at times, has all the tools to stay at shortstop moving forward. Also has plenty of potential as a center fielder with his speed and plus arm. Right handed hitter, starts from a narrow stance with a gradual hand pull back, simple lower half shift into contact, short and direct swing with very good bat speed, gets the barrel out front with hard impact, EV's up to 104 mph in batting practice. Still projects in all areas. Good student with a verbal commitment to Virginia.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
