John Coleman is a 2021 RHP/3B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Lubbock, TX who attends Frenship. Medium build with good present strength. High 3/4's to over the top arm action, mechanics are smooth and well paced, long arm takeaway in back with good extension in front. Fastball topped out at 77 mph, will add and subtract from the pitch and throw it to spots. Change up was his best pitch, tunnels it well with his fastball and has occasional big sinking action, will throw it at any point in the count. Rare slider. Has a mature idea how to pitch while moving the ball around and setting up hitters. Right handed hitter, has talent in the batter's box. Hits from a tall open stance and gets into his strong hips well, moves into the ball well and creates some bat speed, line drive plane with gap to gap power, squared up well. 7.65 runner. Good student.
