Blake Cheatham is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Youngsville, NC who attends Franklinton. High waisted young build with lots of lower half strength. High leg raise delivery on the mound with a pause at his balance point, compact arm action with a 3/4's arm slot and good exgtension out front, tends to pull his front side off early in his delivery. Fastball topped out at 79 mph, had nice running and sinking action on the pitch, gained velocity through his outing as he gained confidence, primary fastball pitcher at present who created easy outs with his fastball movement. Developing slider that he tended to slow his arm down when throwing. Right handed hitter, has a rotational swing from an open start, will improve as a hitter as he learns to stay closed and use his strong lower half to drive his swing. Projects well physically.
