2024 WWBA Workout Showcase (July 5)
Jayden Whiteside is a 2027 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Marietta. Large athletic frame with present physicality, especially for his class, and plenty of time and room to refine going forward. Ran the 60 yard dash in a solid 6.94 seconds. Primary position infielder, moving good on the clay with some first step quickness and good angles through the plays. Emerging glove work with solid foundation and fundamental approach to the spot. Showed excellent lateral range on plays up the middle. Clean transfer and compact arm action, really loose and whipping the ball across the field up to 82 mph with accuracy. Reps in the outfield as well, working a one hand gather off his front foot with a deeper funnel. Deliberate transfer to throw and reached 85 mph here. RHH working from an upright and slightly spread stance, high handset and lower-leg lift to get moving. Inside path to the ball and the hands deliver the barrel with some aggression. When on time elevated the ball with ease but was at his best when staying in the opposite field gap. Power-oriented corner infielder type with a lot of time to refine his game. Outstanding student as well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
