2023 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Luke Adams is a 2027 3B/RHP/MIF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Cumming, GA who attends Buford. Features a medium-sized frame with some present strength. Ran a 7.56 60-yd dash. In the OF, showed an avg. first step with shorter strides in his approach. Fundamental footwork all together where he fielded it clean and out front while showing he can work through the baseball. Used a more uphill release where he got off mostly accurate throws with avg. strength for his level. In the INF, showed avg. actions. Flashed activeness to his feet while working low to the baseball. Glovework can be developed especially to the backhand side. Used a shorter arm action that got off accurate throws. At the plate, he sits in an upright stance. Used a smaller leg raise trigger working to landing in rhythm. Some intent to the swing that delivered the barrel on a slight uphill path. A little inconsistent with timing but had several quality pullside barrels throughout the round showing good impact to the LC gap.
