Ryan Strong is a 2022 C/RHP, IF with a 5-8 175 lb. frame from Oakley, CA who attends Freedom. Small frame, firmly built and thick in strength. The body worked low and showed the ability to block and work with his pitchers. Throws come from the ear and were accurate in the game. As an infielder, played with wide feet working hips open to cover some ground. Got rid of it quickly and made accurate throws from high-slot. Threw like a catcher in the infield position. Low hips and wide base at the plate with high hands. Rocks his body early pushing backside into the baseball. As a pitcher worked with a simple step as the hands stay wide with a quick front leg tuck. Sit and push actions from the mound into a firmed up front side repeating the compact high-3/4 release. Strike-thrower who worked quickly. Fastball was most consistent to the armside. Curveball was quick and short with overhand break.
