Alexander Lopez is a 2024 C/MIF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Roseville, CA who attends Alpha Charter. He ran a 7.50 second sixty. A primary catcher with a younger medium build. Behind the plate he does a nice job staying down to receive the ball with quick footwork and quicker release from his short arm action, the throws showed average carry with strength that will continue to improve with maturity as will the 2.17 second pop time. On the infield he does a nice job righting the baseball and allowing his footwork to carry into his throwing footwork and give his accurate throws more carry as they come across. Right-handed hitter, starts even creating some separation pre-swing, the barrel tracks steeper into the zone with some impact ability when the barrel gets out front, will see more consistent results with extension through the baseball to create back spin. Very good student.
